A wonderful 19th century or earlier gilt bronze finial. 9 inches high by 7 inches in diameter of octagonal form with six saints or elders of the Catholic church cast, chased, and gilt in alcoves surmounted by a cross. The sculpture retains considerable original bright mercury “fire” gilding. In good condition overall and would make an incredible Christmas gift for someone who loves the unusual. Est.: 400-800
