Genuine Revolutionary War British Model 1742 infantry hanger with guard period rack numbered “132”. Originals of this model used by both American and British troops in Colonial and Revolutionary America are very rare. This example from a New Jersey barn has a beautifully patinated brass guard. The blade has been sharpened and shows a few (battle?) nicks. The rack number 132 is definitely 18th century. This is an authentic Revolutionary period sword not a copy.
