1857 dated percussion military issue pistol marked “M. Arana” at the front edge lock probably Spain or Portugal issue. Brass mounted with swivel ramrod and nipple safety. The barrel measures 7 ¾” in .69-70 caliber smoothbore. Lightly cleaned in very good condition retaining belt hook. Works well. The barrel is also dated 1857. We could find no reference other that the fact we sold similar specimen to Eric Vaule noted European and expert 30 years ago that he identified as Portuguese. (Antique) Est.: $500-$1000
