Original printed complaint of the Sharps Rifle manufacturing company against the government of Mexico, brought before 1869 Mexican-American commission created to resolve problems between the two nationsafter the ouster of Emperor Maximilian. The plaintiff alleges that it sold an order of voer 1300 Sharps Rifles and ammunition to the Mexican government in 1859 and was never paid after delivery. Describing the detailsof the transaction, the company is lodging a claim with the commission for payment ten years later. Very interesting account printed in both English and Spanish. Eight pages. Size 8” x 10”. In very good condition. Copies of these petitions were no doubt given only members of the commission and are probably quite rare. Est.: $200-$400

All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
