1906 French marked Commercial Luger, #28594, .30 Luger cal., 4-3/4'' barrel, blue finish with straw small parts, factory checkered walnut grips, and one unmarked nickel-plated magazine with walnut base. In modern-made black leather case with green felt lining. Circular logo to chamber area marked ''Manufacture Francaise-St. Etienne/Armes et Cycles''; DWM marked toggle link, lower safety area polished bright, extractor marked ''Chargez'', BUG proofmarks, and interestingly not marked lengthwise to top of barrel but logo to chamber area in circular donut style. Condition is excellent as professionally refinished, with thinning to serial numbers, commercial proofmarks, and DWM logo. French markings appear to be crisp and marked through the existing finish. Grips and action are crisp, bore is about good with moderate frosting in the grooves. Case is excellent. Est.: $3,500-$5,000. (C&R/PPT) (John Siroonian estate)
