1914 P.08 Erfurt Luger, #2793p, 9mm, 4'' barrel, rust blued finish, straw small parts, checkered walnut grips, one matching numbered tin-plated magazine with wood base. Chamber dated 1918, toggle marked with large crown over ''Erfurt'', with all visible numbers matching, except grips. Action functions properly. Erfurt Imperial proof marks on right side of slide, firing proofs on slide and barrel. Most all the small parts except the mag release are marked with the Erfurt proofmark, as is the extractor, toggle center and rear. Magazine wood base is stamped with the serial number and letter, ''+'', and Erfurt proof. Grips panels are marked ''82'' internally, with Geischert/Geladen thumb safety and extractor. Condition is very good retaining approx. 75%-80% original finish, with light holster wear on muzzle sides, front and side of frame and side cover. Barrel has a thinning to the finish and some light pitting on the muzzle ring. There is wear to the finish, with some light pinprick pitting on top of front section of toggle, back of rear portion of toggle, and frame/slide ears. Front gripstrap shows wear and finish is fading to a gray color; rear gripstrap has some light wear on the high edges and center grip area. Straw finish on the trigger is approx. 60%; takedown lever, safety lever, and slide spring at approx. 80%. Grip screw slots show a little wear and screws are possibly refinished. Grip panels show light wear with a few flattened diamonds. Action functions properly; bore is good with very light frosting of pitting and strong lands/grooves. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R)
