1950's Marlin 39A Lever Action Rifle, #K8786, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' ''JM'' marked barrel, blue finish, brass bead front sight dovetailed into a ramped base, and standard elevator rear sight. Oil-finished pistol-grip walnut stock with fluted comb and black composite Marlin buttplate with white spacer. With the exception of surface rust on front of barrel and magazine tube, this rifle is in very good overall condition. Metal with approx. 95% original blue; first 4'' of barrel and magazine tube with heavier surface rust; remainder of barrel and parts of the lever with some scattered tiny specks. Factory lettering is clear and well defined. Wood with scattered normal light scratches and other small handling marks, with the forend being lighter in color; buttstock is missing the ''bullseye''. Action is crisp with a smooth hammer and trigger; bore is excellent. Est.: $300-$400. (C&R)
