This exceptional example of German gunmaking was manufactured in 1959 by Franz Sodia and represents the pinnacle of traditional European craftsmanship.
This classic drilling configuration offers the full functionality of a double-barrel shotgun combined with the power and versatility of a rifle barrel, allowing the shooter to transition seamlessly from upland birds to big game.
Built in highly desirable American calibers, this drilling features full-choke 12-gauge shotgun barrels—ideal for turkey and upland hunting—paired with a .30-06 rifle barrel capable of ethically taking any big game species in North America. A simple selector allows the shooter to move from shotgun to rifle with the slide of a switch.
The rifle is equipped with a quick-detach 4x post-reticle scope and an exceptionally crisp 4-ounce front set trigger for the rifle barrel, providing outstanding precision. The hand-engraved receiver and beautifully blended wood-to-steel fit elevate this firearm beyond a hunting tool—it is equally at home in the field or displayed as a piece of functional art.
This is a rare and highly versatile firearm that appeals to collectors and serious sportsmen alike.
