Arisaka Type 38 bolt action rifle, 6.5 mm caliber, Serial #77060. The rifle is in very good condition with a 32” barrel with a protected blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their military finish with a crisp Mum on the front ring and the dust cover is intact. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing moderate to heavy wear with mars and compressions consistent with service use. The rear sight shows what appears to be a bullet strike and a piece of the jacket fell off when the consignor brought it in. The bore is fair, the action is crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable Arisaka. Est.: $150-$300. (C+R).
