Pair of cased dueler/target pistols in French style with nicely formed fancy fluted barrels. Measures 16” overall and the barrels measure 10 ¼” of approximately .45 caliber rifled. The stocks are nicely fluted and carved select wood. The locks and mounts are nicely engraved with satin gray finish. The barrels are unusually engraved and fluted with areas in bright around engraving for contrast. This is a rare barrel treatment that is seldom seen. The overall condition is very good plus to almost fine with minor imperfections and aging. The flask and mold are missing but other accessories are retained. Belgium proofs on the barrels. The interior of case is very good plus and lined in green velveteen. The exterior of case is veneered burl walnut with fancy grain in good condition. The owner’s plate or plaque has been removed. A nice set from premier French collector. (Antique) Est.: $3000-$6000
