Colt 1851 Navy percussion revolver, .36 caliber, Serial #141959. The pistol is in good overall condition with a 7 ½” octagon barrel. The metal surfaces have gone to a grey patina with areas of original blue under the loading lever. The barrel address is sharp, there is old case hardening on the underside of loading lever and all visible serial numbers are matching. The safety pins have been hammered flat while the cylinder scene is retained at approximately 50%-60% with a missing frame screw and a replacement pin in the loading lever. The blade front sight is a period replacement. The smooth grips are in good condition with small mars and the brass straps have taken on a pleasant tone. The action functions, the bore is fair and the markings are sharp on this Civil War era Colt circa 1863. Est.: $700-$1,400. (Antique).
