Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, .44 caliber, 24” octagon barrel, blued finish, thumbprint dust cover, plain trigger, wood stocks and sectional cleaning rod in butt trap, S/N 32113; overall very good to near fine condition with majority of original finish remaining on barrel and receiver, loading tube toned to a pleasing brown patina, crisp action, sharp markings and near fine bore; wood stocks are very good overall with scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage; sling swivels remain present. Accompanied by a factory letter dated March 10, 1961 on Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation letter head and signed by Winchester Museum Curator, T.E. Hall confirming S/N 32113 as a rifle, .44 caliber, octagon barrel and plain trigger; shipped from the factory on April 14, 1879. (Antique). Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
