Colt SAA revolver, .45 Colt caliber, 5.5” barrel, blued and case hardened finish, checkered black hard rubber grips, lanyard ring present, S/N 253784; overall fine condition showing the majority of its original finish, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and fine checkered hard rubber grips. Accompanied by a 6 page handwritten letter dated June 15, 1997 from noted Colt SAA expert Ron Graham who states in part: “. . . no factory shipping record covering this 5-1/2” barreled revolver. There is however a record of serial number 253783 in Colt’s shipping ledgers; a 7-1/2” .45 COLT Single Action, which was also manufactured with a frame having an “old style base pin! This piece was partially examined about twenty-five years ago”. Mr. Graham further states later in the letter it is his opinion that “Serial number 253784, along with its production mate 253783, were special order revolvers. The factory stamped “bin” or assembly number on the loading gate and frame bottom of 253784 is a 2.” He further notes that in 1997 when he wrote this examination

All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
