Russian Berdan No. 2 single shot rifle, 10.75 x 58R caliber, Serial #120243. The rifle is in fair overall condition with a 33” barrel with a blade front and military ladder style rear sights. The metal surfaces are a uniform silver/grey patina that appears to have been cleaned. The Russian Crest is displayed on the front ring and the action is dated 1881. The rifle retains the cleaning rod, sling swivels and has non-matching serial numbers. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars and compressions consistent with service use and a couple small cartouches behind the trigger guard. The bore is fair, the action crisp and markings are sharp. The Berdan rifle was designed by Hiram Berdan and in service with the Russian army from 1870-1891, until replaced by the Mosin-Nagant. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
