Mauser Model 98 bolt action rifle, 8 x 57 caliber, Serial #J8152. The rifle is in fair overall condition with a 24” barrel with the front and rear sights removed. The barrel retains a significant amount of its military finish while the receiver is a mottled silver patina with the front ring marked, “dou.43” and is Nazi proofed. The smooth wood stock is in fair condition showing heavy use with mars, bruises and compressions and is missing the top half of the fore end wood. The butt stock is missing the cleaning rod and butt plate. The bore is fair, the action functions and the markings are legible. Est.: $100-$200. (C+R).
