Silver mounted Spanish miquelet belt size pistol showing lion makers mark on breech (Standing and facing left with crown). Formerly Lavin collection and illustrated in work on Spanish arms. Measures 10 ¼” overall with a 5 ¾” barrel of approximately .60 caliber smoothbore. Two stage barrel with ringed cannon style muzzle. Full silver mounts and pierced grip inlay with fancy period belt hook retained. Also silver embroidered material attached at the rear of the hammer to protect hand from being pinched by action (rare). The condition is very good plus with horn tipped ramrod of correct style.
