) Japanese sword in elaborately carved and scrimshawed bone mounts. Measuring 34 inches overall the handle and scabbard are very well carved with figures of priests. 17 inch samurai type blade with no visible temper and brass habaki. Blade is in fair state of polish and mounts have some minor fill but overall very showy and nearly 3 feet long. Late 19th century. Estimate: 500-750
