Civil War era Adams patent double action percussion revolver manufactured by Massachusetts Arms Company in .36 caliber with Kerr’s patent marked lever and cased with accessories, serial number 633. The metal surfaces show 20% to 40%original blue drifting to a light brown with some scattered moderate to light pitting. The edges are sharp and crisp and the grips are very good plus to near fine with just a couple of minor losses and slight normal aging. The action is working well and there is a hand held dye stamp marking on the bottom of the barrel “2 C S A”. The interior of the case has been relined in an old green felt and two Mass Arms marked molds, 1 iron, 1 brass are included also a bag shaped flask and a brass English rod. The exterior of the case is veneered Walnut or mahogany with brass key plate and owner’s plaque. The exterior of the case is very good plus with some opening at the edges and small losses. From the estate of Bill Gary who was the premier author on confederate revolvers and sold for his estate in 2014. Est.: $2000-$4000
