Colt 1862 Police Model percussion revolver, .36 caliber, Serial #21322L. The pistol is in good overall condition with the desirable 6 ½” barrel. The metal surfaces have gone to a uniform grey patina with areas of lightsurface erosion and pinprick pitting on the cylinder, barrel and frame. All matching visible serial numbers with the “L” for a London marked pistol that returned in time for the Civil War. The U.S. barrel addressis faintly visible under magnification, as is the Colt marking on the left side of the frame. The smooth wood grips are in good condition with small mars and a considerable amount of their original varnish. The boreis fair and the action functions. Est.: $600-$1,200. (Antique).
