Winchester Model 53 lever action rifle, .25-20 WCF caliber, Serial #4453. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 22” barrel and button magazine. The barrel retains a significant amount of muted bluefinish with wear at the muzzle and light handling marks. The receiver has gone to brown patina with blue in the protected areas. The hammer and trigger show toned case hardening. The smooth wood stocks are ingood condition with an extra coat of varnish and an old repair at the toe. The butt stock ends with a ribbed steel butt plate. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp on this desirable Model 53 circa 1926. Est.: $1,000-$2,000. (C+R).
