French made for Middle-Eastern trade blunder buss dag signed “Fatou, Paris” and measures 20 ½” overall with a 11 ¼” barrel nearly 1 ¾” across the flared muzzle to outside edges. Chiseled and silver overlaid steel barrel,lock and mounts. Carved stock with wire inlay. Very well made lock with waterproof pan which is silver overlaid. Good to very good condition showing some aging, minor wood losses and light rust. Fatou was a royal gun maker known for elaborately decorated arms that rivaled Boutet and LePage in early Napoleonic era. (Antique) Est.: $1500-$3000
