Framed and matted Certificate of Appointment from John Wanamaker, Postmaster General of the United States appointing George Ford Jr. to the position of Postmaster of the city of Canadian in Hemphill County, Texas onNovember 11th, 1889. The piece is 21 ½” x 20 ½” and nicely framed. The document is signed by John Wanamaker, the 35th Postmaster General of the United States, a well-known businessman and philanthropist. A nicehistorical document is good condition with some staining on the right side. Est.: $125-$250.
