German Mauser Gewehr 98 bolt action rifle, 8 x 57 JS caliber, Serial #1213C. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 29” barrel with a ramped blade front and tangent style rear sights. The barrel retains the majority of its military blue finish with the receiver going to primarily grey patina. The front ring is Amberg arsenal marked and dated 1917 with some pin prick pitting at the wood line. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing moderate to heavy use with dent and mars. The ram rod and sling swivels are retained with a smooth steel butt plate. The lot includes a modern leather rifle sling. The bore is fair, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp on this WWI era German service rifle. Est.: $300-$600. (C+R).

During the Holiday Season there are added surcharges for shipping therefore we will begin shipping for this auction January 4th. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs including packing, materials, shipping, 2% of invoice total for insurance, custom fee, duty fees, exporter fee etc. International shipments are sent to an exporter. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
