Custom 98 Mauser sporting bolt action rifle, 7mm caliber, Serial #1398. The rifle is in good overall condition as sporterized with a 24” barrel in the white. The barrel shows light surface rust in areas. The receiver is marked, “ARMERIA F.A. REP DOM. 1961.” The bolt handle has been replaced to accommodate scope mounting and the receiver has been drilled with Weaver scope bases added. The smooth wood military stock has been sandedand the fore end shortened. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel butt plate and sling swivels have been retained. The lot includes a contemporary leather rifle sling. The bore is good, the action is crisp andthe markings are sharp on this Mauser sporter on a 1961 dated Dominican Republic action. Est.: $300-$600. During the Holiday Season there are added surcharges for shipping therefore we will begin shipping for this auction January 4th. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs including packing, materials, shipping, 2% of invoice total for insurance, custom fee, duty fees, exporter fee etc. International shipments are sent to an exporter. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
