Swedish Model 1896 Mauser bolt action rifle, 6.5 x 55 caliber, Serial #OG44738. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 29” import marked barrel with a blade front and military ladder style rear sights. The metal surfaces retain a significant amount of original blue finish with the remainder going to grey patina. The front ring is marked, “WAFFENFABRICK MAUSER OBERNDORF A/N” and dated 1900. The rifle is part of theoriginal Mauser contract. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with sling swivels, ram rod and brass disc intact. The stock has mars, dents and compressions consistent with service use. The butt stockends with a smooth steel butt plate. The lot includes the original smooth leather military sling with brass buckle. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp on this early M96. Est.:$300-$600. (C+R).

During the Holiday Season there are added surcharges for shipping therefore we will begin shipping for this auction January 4th. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs including packing, materials, shipping, 2% of invoice total for insurance, custom fee, duty fees, exporter fee etc. International shipments are sent to an exporter. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
