Fancy silver inlaid half stock plains rifle marked “H. Ledford” on the barrel with patch box inscribed “S.C.S., Feb 15 1853”. 14 silver inlays and fancy engraved silver patch box. Originally full stocked with stockshortened and brass cap and rib added during period of use. Measures 59 ½” overall with a 44 ½” barrel of medium weight approximately .41 caliber rifled. Fine burl and stripped walnut stock showing large chip and loss totoe. Lock works well. Good quality inlay and vary fancy. (H. Ledford Davidson Co. N. Carolina circa 1795-1856). Est.: $2000-$4000

During the Holiday Season there are added surcharges for shipping therefore we will begin shipping for this auction January 4th. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs including packing, materials, shipping, 2% of invoice total for insurance, custom fee, duty fees, exporter fee etc. International shipments are sent to an exporter. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
