Flintlock Kentucky style rifle signed “S. Wilson” on the lock with simple pierced patch box showing no engraving. Pleasing aesthetics with “Roman Nose” stock showing natural stripping. Plain brass trigger guardwith single trigger. Lock secured by 2 screws with escutcheons and no side plate. Measures 60” overall with a 43 ½” barrel of approximately .55 caliber bored to smooth. Rifle sights on full octagon barrel. Thestock is good to very good with small imperfections and many minor nicks and dings. From a old Northern California collection. Note: Top jaw and frizzen spring and screws are restorations but original flintlock.(Antique) Est.: $2000-$4000
