The butt stock is carved in simple scrolls. An interestingspring steel cap protector has been added to the bottom barrel and is of the period and possibly by the maker. The metal surfaces are a deep and rich brown patina with light erosion and very minor pitting. The actionneeds small repairs or adjustment as it is not quite working properly.
