Full stock Kentucky rifle signed in fancy script on the barrel but not legible. Artificially striped wood with simple engraved patch box and set trigger. Measures 59 ½” overall with a 43 ½” barrel ofapproximately .36 caliber rifled and of medium weight. Gray to brown patina with light to slightly heavy scattered pitting. The heavier pitting is located at firing areas and the breech. The stock shows oldcoating of thin varnish or shellac. The stock is good to very good with a couple minor losses at the top edge and other minor imperfections. The lock does not hold on cocking. From an old Northern Californiacollection.
