J. Dickert signed Kentucky rifle with thick butt and simple engraved non-pierced patch box. The lock is signed “Dreppert” and in its original flintlock configuration with correct top jaw, screw, frizzen and smallparts. Measures 59” overall with a 43” barrel. Over 1” thick across butt with patch box release button on top of the butt plate. .44 caliber rifled octagon barrel of standard weight. The barrel shows 3 keys with silverescutcheons around the slots. Silver “Bethlehem Star” inlay on the cheek piece. The lock is working but not setting every time with triggers. The stock is very good plus with only minor imperfections and acouple very minor losses at the top edge. One of the most desirable Lancaster makers of the 18th to early 19th century.
