Revolutionary War era flintlock musket showing crown over I.R. proof beneath the pan and two sets of indistinguishable proofs on the left side of the barrel at the breach. The 46” barrel has #109 stamped at the rearand is approximately .75 caliber. There are brass mounts at the front end of the stock with period repairs using Tiger Striped wood, the fore end shows many losses and slivers missing along the top edge. The stocking iscrude and possibly hand hewn. The condition is fair overall and the lock works well. The brass mounts are crude and the rear ramrod Ferrell where it meets the stock has a long flat tail which is worth researching, as ithas the Revolutionary War look. Est.: $750-$1,500. (Antique).
