1st of the World Heritage Rifle Series - .416 Rigby Bolt-Action Rifle by Mountain Riflery
The first of five rifles in the the World Heritage Rifle Series for 2015 - representing Africa - is a .416 Rigby, donated by John Bolliger's Mountain Riflery Inc. The World Heritage Rifle Series consists of five spectacular rifles, each representing the best of the gun maker's art and one of the world's five hunting continents, Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas, and featuring materials representing its continent. The Africa rifle is built on a highly-refined FN/Winchester Model 70 square-bridge action, engraved with the most sought-after trophy animals of the African continent, and complemented by an exquisite stock of highly-figured Turkish walnut. It, and others of the series, comes with a French, fitted-leather case, with accessories that include oil bottle, cleaning rod, turn screws, etc., the series logo and continent engraved on the grip cap and an exhibition-grade, engraved custom knife (this one by Dennis Friedley.) Also included is a custom credenza for display, donated by Julian and Sons, built from hand-selected figured walnut, with African bubinga inlay and a black leather insert on the top. The .416 Rigby is the classic African caliber for this showcase rifle that would be the pride of any gunroom. For more information, contact John R.
