1) Cal. 71. NSN. Bbl. 40 1/4" rnd. percussion conversion w/ faceted transition at breech end. Blade front sight. "R. ASHMORE / WARRANTED" engraved trade lock w/ replacement hammer. Plain trigger. Full length 3 key fastened walnut stock w/ cheekpiece & checkered wrist. Brass fittings include buttplate, trigger guard, side plate, thimble & 2 faceted pipes. Modern brass replacement nose cap. German silver wedge escutcheon. Button tipped iron ramrod. CONDITION: bbl. has brown patina appearance w/ heavy pitting in breech area. Functioning lock. Stock has age darkened worn appearance w/ dents, handling marks having cracks & chips in lock, top tang & side plate areas. Wrist has plug type repair screw. Dark pitted bore. (01-19466/DS).
2) Cal. 69. NSN. Bbl. percussion conversion 45" oct. to rnd. w/ faceted transition. Top flat is marked "LONDON". Left side has British proof marks w/ "B & S" marking. "A HARRINGTON / POKEEPSIE" replacement trade lock. Bolster conversion fitted w/ modern nipple. Plain trigger. Half length wedge fastened walnut stock w/ ornate checking at wrist. Brass fittings include buttplate, Acorn finial long tang trigger guard & daisy engraved nose cap. Replacement iron ramrod held by 2 brass pipes. CONDITION: metal has mottled gray/brown appearance w/ pitting becoming heavy in breech, lock & hammer areas. Functioning lock. Stock shows heavy wear w/ lg. chips & cracks in comb, top tang, lock, forearm & sideplate areas. Dark moderately pitted bore. (01-19471/DS). ALL ANTIQUE. $500-800.
