1) Cal. about 42. NSN. Bbl. 41 1/2" oct. w/ blade front sight & fixed V notch rear sight. Lug style bolster conversion. Engraved trade lock & hammer w/ uncommon daisy shaped hammer fastener. Dbl. set triggers. Full length curly maple pin fastened stock w/ right & left side cheek pieces. Left side cheekpiece has dished out section for lubricant. Iron fittings consist of crescent buttplate, toeplate, finger curl trigger guard, thimble & 2 pipes. Brass forearm tip. Oval brass tag marked "J.M. DAVIS / 6691 / MEMORIAL" is attached to trigger guard. The JM Davis Firearms Museum in Claremore, OK is home to the world's largest privately held firearms collection. CONDITION: metal has dark patina appearance w/ pitting in breech & lock areas. Refinished stock has age darkened appearance w/ plastic wood repairs around lock. Toe is broken w/ nail type repairs. Ramrod is missing. Hammer will hold in cocked position if triggers are set. Hammer cup is chipped. Dark pitted bore w/ partially intact rifling. (01-19893/DS).
2) Cal. about 52. NSN. Bbl. 43 5/8" oct. measuring 7/8" across flats. Brass front sight w/ fixed V notch rear sight. Bolster style conversion. "ASHMORE / WARRANTED" Trade conversion lock w/ replacement hammer. Plain trigger. Pin fastened full length curly maple stock w/ iron crescent buttplate. Brass fittings include toeplate, finger curl trigger guard, sideplate, thimble & 2 oct. pipes. Hardwood ramrod. Replacement sheet brass nosecap. Oval brass tag marked "J.M.
