1) M COLE TARGET. Cal. about 45. NSN. Bbl. 41 3/4" oct. including false muzzle. Square blade front sight w/ fixed V notch rear sight. Top flat has maker's name "M COLE". Patent breech & plain unmarked iron lock & hammer. Dbl. set triggers. Pewter tipped half length cheekpiece wedge fastened stock. Brass fittings consist of crescent buttplate, toeplate, finger curl trigger guard, side plate escutcheon & thimble. Toeline & left ear of stock are stamped "R. Eldins". Hardwood ramrod held on iron under rib by 2 plain pipes. Oval brass tag marked "J.M. DAVIS / 1755 / MEMORIAL" is attached to trigger guard. Refinished stock has dark stained appearance showing sm. dents & marks. Sound lock w/ functioning triggers. Bore remains bright w/ sound rifling. (01-19894/DS).

Ford Brothers marked back action engraved trade lock & hammer. Dbl. set triggers. Half length wedge fastened walnut stock w/ pewter tip & replacement brass wedge escutcheons. Brass fittings include circular lid, dear finial patch box, crescent buttplate, toe plate, & finger curl trigger guard. German silver side plate escutcheon. Hardwood ramrod held on iron under rib by 2 faceted iron pipes. Oval brass tag marked "J.M. DAVIS / 1670 / MEMORIAL" is attached to trigger guard. CONDITION: metal has cleaned gray appearance w/ dents & handling marks having heavy wrench marks in breech plug area. Stock has age darkened appearance w/ dents & handling marks having cracks around lock & side plate areas. Right side of forearm has full length plastic wood fill along bbl. channel.
