PERCUSSION CARBINES. ALL: cal. 50. Bbls. 21 1/2" oct. to rnd. Graduated leaf carbine rear sights. Left flats of bbls. have "LFR" inspectors mark. Bbls. are hinged at bottom of frames & tip downward for loading. Case colored actions operated by pushing up on brass opening levers. Right side mounted hammers w/ saddle ring bars on left side. Left side has Poultney & Trimble agent address. Band fastened walnut forearms & straight grip stocks w/ steel carbine buttplates & "JH" cartouches. 1) S# 8538. German silver blade front sight. CONDITION: bbl. retains 50% dull faded blue showing surface corrosion. Action retains 30% fading case colors blending w/ surface corrosion. Refinished wood shows numerous dents & handling marks. Stock has crack extending from left side of action. Bore retains sound rifling. (01-18516/DS). 2) S# 3497. Left side of stock has added initials "LS". CONDITION: metal has mottled patina showing spots of surface corrosion & light pitting. Sight is missing screw. Action is not functioning missing opening lever, mainspring & other internal parts. Forearm is broken along both sides of bbl. channel. Stock shows heavy wear w/ cracks & chips having spots of plastic wood filler. Dark rusted bore. (01-18517/DS). ALL ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
