1) MODEL 71/84 GERMAN MAUSER. Cal. 11mm Mauser. S# 8074. Bbl. 31 1/2". Receiver marked on left wall in gothic “IG Mod 71/84”. Marked on right side of receiver bridge w/ “37.” & 1886 date. Bbl. flat has German proofs. Crown Spandau & Crown FW. Buttplate marked “110. R. K. 415.”. Mismatched numbers throughout. Straight bolt handle. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1600m. Inverted V front sight. Stacking rod & bayonet lug are present. Walnut stock. Unmarked vintage military type sling. CONDITION: refinished stock has light wear & handling marks w/ loss of wood in all inletted areas & markings have been obscured. Metal has been heavily polished w/ rounding of corners. Dark patina appearance w/ wear & handling marks. Dark bore w/ light pitting throughout, but retains sharp lands. (01-18154/RW). 2) ITALIAN VETTERLI INFANTRY RIFLE. Cal. 6.5 Italian. S# UV6283. Bbl. 33 3/4". Rifle originally mfg. in 10.4 Italian as single shot, was then later converted to mag. feed. In 1915 rifles were sleeved to 6.5 Italian. Buttstock & bbl. have matching numbers. Bbl. marked on left flat “1877”, marked on top left flat “TORRE ANNUNZIATA”. Marked on top w/ inspectors marks & “C”. Top right flat marked w/ S#. Right flat marked w/ “V”. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Inverted V front sight. Bayonet lug & cleaning rod are present. Walnut stock w/ bottom swivels. CONDITION: stock has nice appearance as clean & refinished w/ slight loss of wood in inletted areas. Markings on left side of butt are obscure. Metal has traces of blue turning patina w/ wear, scratches & handling marks. Bolt handle has been repaired at midpoint by welding. Fair, worn bore turning dark. (01-18155/RW). BOTH ANTIQUE. $600-900.
