RIFLES. ALL: Cal. 6.5 Carc. (6.5x52mm). Cock on open Mannlicher actions use 6 rd. magazine clips. No visible import marks. Cleaning rods are present.
1) 1891/24 CARBINE. S# GK1905. In 1924, Terni was tasked w/ converting existing 1891 infantry rifles into more compact carbines similar to the Truppe Specials. This gun is an example having a "Terni / 28" stamp over the 1896 bbl. date; 1928 was the last year of converting. Bbl. 18" retaining 1891 front sight; 1500m tangent rear sight. Matching numbered hardwood stock set. CONDITION: Fair overall condition. Worn blue turning brown. Stock exhibits moderate handling marks, sm. cracks & bored soldier marks. Poor worn out bore. (01-20964/MD).
2) WWI FUCILE MODELLO 1891. S# HL8868. Bbl. 30.6" w/ blade front sight & 2000m tangent rear sight. Oct. shank dated 1898. Replacement hardwood handguard. Hardwood stock w/ what appears to be the matching number, but obscured along w/ roundell. Leather 3/4" sling. CONDITION: Bbl. has turned to a brown appearance w/ cleaning pitting. Receiver & mag. blue good fading to brown w/ oxidation & wear. Bolt has brown stained appearance. Worn sanded wood finish w/ handling marks. Fair bore w/ light pitting. (01-20965/MD). BOTH ANTIQUE. $300-400.
