RIFLES. 1) Cal. 577/450. NSN. Bbl. 33 1/4". Fixed replacement rear sight. Stud type front sight. British "short lever" Martini Henry Rifle. Mfg. by London Small Arms Company w/ Indian Kirkee Arsenal markings. Receiver marked on right side w/ "Victorian crown" "LSA CO. 1886". "Crown property marking" "III" "I". Additionally marked on lower right corner "K.K. 200". Receiver marked on top left corner w/ view marks & opposed arrows indicating rifle sold out of service. Similar mark occurs on left side of bbl. Receiver marked at rear w/ "I" "II" & "SS". Bbl. marked on flat over chamber "broad arrow" "KK NZ 94 570". All except "KK" have been lined out. Bbl. marked on right side w/ "KK" "200". Cleaning rod is present. Bands have "WD" & "broad arrow." Walnut stock set. Markings on right side of butt include circular Kirkee arsenal mark. Roman numeral "II", "1915" & "1891". Other markings have been obscured by cleaning & wear. CONDITION: wood has been cleaned & has wear, dents, scratches & staining throughout. Forend has 2" crack on right side ahead of receiver. Metal has traces of original blue turning overall gray in patina w/ wear, oxidation & scattered fine pitting. Bore has been reamed smooth & is bright & shiny. (01-19179/RW). 2) Cal. 577/450. NSN. Bbl. 33 1/4". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1300yds. Stud type front sight. British Martini Henry Rifle from Nepal. Receiver marked on right side w/ "crown V.R." "Enfield" "1885" "II." "2". Metal marked w/ numerous additional view marks. Cleaning rod is present. Short lever action. Walnut stock set. Visible buttstock markings include "11 / 94." Circular arsenal mark is mostly illegible. Has additional (Nepalese ?) markings. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear, staining & handling marks. Metal has traces of blue turning gray in patina w/ wear, oxidation, scattered sm. dents & fine pitting. Rear sight is bent & partly detached at forward end. Poor, worn dark bore. (01-19186/RW). BOTH ANTIQUE. $600-900.
