1) Cal. 61. NSN. Bbl. 52 1/8" w/ old British proofs at rear. Has drum & nipple conversion to percussion. Lock is by Ketland & Co. Walnut stock is brass mounted & pinned to bbl. Trigger guard w/ husk finial. Sideplate w/ rear extension & buttplate w/ top tang along w/ escutcheon on top of grip have some line & foliate engraving. Old wooden ramrod is held by 2 beaded pipes w/ matching thimble. CONDITION: iron parts dark brown patina. Stock w/ old surfaces has light hand wear at grip & forend. Brass nicely tone. There are repaired cracks in front of locks w/ 14" loss of wood right side bbl. channel. Lock will not cock. Pitted bore. (01-19759/MGM).
2) NEW ENGLAND STYLE FULL STOCK FOWLER WITH LOCK DATED 1777. Cal. 70. NSN Bbl. 47", has British proofs & makers mark "IW" stamped on oct. breech section. Early lock w/ arched & rounded plate engraved "SW" in front of hammer & dated 1777 on tail. Cherrywood stock has attractive sweep to butt. Trigger guard is brass. Iron buttplate has early style wavy top tang. There are incised lines along bbl. & ramrod channel. Stock is pinned to bbl. & old ramrod is held by flared front pipe, beaded middle & matching brass thimble. CONDITION: iron parts considerably cleaned to silver w/ dark pitted background. Stock w/ old cleaned surfaces, has some minor cracks on left side & another crack in front of lock. Stock is otherwise sound, bbl. channel good, minor losses at front right side. Lock will cock.
