1) ENFIELD MARTINI-HENRY MARK IV. Cal. 577 450 / 20 Ga. S# 331. Bbl. 36". Replacement smooth bore bbl. approx. 20 Ga., leaving the 577 450 head size at rear of chamber. No provision for sights. Long lever Mark IV Martini-Henry action is marked on left side w/ crown, "VR ENFIELD 1887 IV 1.". Action marked w/ numerous view marks. Replacement hardwood forend w/ 2 clamping bands. Original walnut buttstock has eastern type markings. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: consignor supplied information indicates rifle was converted to smooth bore for riot use at the Chhaladar Prison in Kathmandu. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal reworked finish w/ extensive wear, staining & handling marks. Action has traces of original finish turning patina w/ wear, dents & scratches. Bbl. has less finish, turning gray & patina. Good shiny bore. (01-17634/RW). 2) MARTINI HENRY STYLE RIFLE. Cal. 577/450. S# 1594. Bbl. 20 1/8". Musketoon style rifle appears to have been mfg. in Belgium having Belgium proofs on chamber end of bbl. Bbl. marked on top "MARTINI MUSCAT". Indicating use in Oman. Receiver has worn thinning floral type decoration. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1,000 meters. Inverted V front sight w/ protective ears. Forestock has 2 bands. Cleaning rod present. No provision for bayonet. Bbl. has matted flat on top. Hardwood stock set. Buttstock has been decorated by steel nails & has added modern brass tacks. CONDITION: stock shows extensive wear, staining & cracks. Metal has turned overall gray w/ patina, heavy wear & dents. Poor worn oxidized bore. (01-17654/RW). BOTH ANTIQUE. $300-500.
