2 US INDIAN WAR TO WWI OFFICERS BELTS.

1) GENERAL. A very fine circa 1890 English made US General Officer’s dress sword belt. The exquisite buckle is marked, “J. STARKEY 23 CONDUIT ST LONDON” & features a separately applied silver eagle & wreath over a heavily gilded buckle. Belt & sword straps are completely covered in gold bullion. The belt has 3 narrow lines of white silk & the sword straps have 1 central line of white silk. Sword straps are complete w/ all associated hooks, buckles & swivels. CONDITION: belt does show light wear w/ expected rubbing in spots but is an exceptionally attractive officer’s belt.
2) GARRISON. A scarce example of a 1902 officer’s garrison belt w/ sword hangers. Belt has a sm. frame buckle w/ a sewn on hilt guard. The original matching sword hangers are complete w/ all buckles, hooks & swivels. The back of the hanger is marked, “J.H. WILSON & CO MILITARY EQUIPMENTS PHILADELPHIA.”. CONDITION: belt shows light wear overall. (02-15754/BF). $800-1,000.
