1) PRUSSIAN. A nice example of a Prussian ersatz infantry spike helmet. Body of the helmet is pressed green felt with gray metal posts, eagle, trim & spike. Original chinstrap with both kokards present but cleaned of all enamel paint by a well meaning veteran. Black leather 9 tongue liner. Rear visor has several illegible markings. CONDITION: helmet shows light wear & is in quite solid condition.
2) PRUSSIAN. An attractive example of a Prussian ersatz infantry spike helmet. Body of the helmet is pressed tan felt with dark gray metal posts, eagle, trim & spike. Original chinstrap with both kokards present. Black leather 8 tongue liner. Rear visor has a few illegible markings. CONDITION: helmet shows light wear & is in quite solid condition. Liner is 100% present but partially detached on 1 side. National kokard has significant paint loss.
3) PRUSSIAN. A very fine example of a Prussian Jager enlisted shako in leather. Helmet is black throughout with gray metal posts & eagle. Original chinstrap. Simulated bullion front cockade with black center. Both sides of the helmet has a Prussian kokard. Brown 9 tongue liner. Interior is stamped with an oval maker's mark that reads "ALEXANDER DAHL BARMEN". The helmet date is difficult to read but appears to be "1916". The size stamp is "56 1/2". CONDITION: shako shows very light wear overall & should be considered in exceptional condition. (02-16342-1/BF). $1,200-1,600.
