All: Cal. 8mm Mauser. Bbl. 23 5/8". 1) S# 4315h. S# matches on receiver, rear sight base & upper band. Receiver is marked on left rail Mod. 98; marked on top w/ lower case "ce" & "44" & Waffen amt ?7 & receiver ring marked on right side "WaA 280" & "WaA 37". Tangent rear sight graduated 2,000 meters; inverted V front sight w/ protective hood. Turn down bolt handle w/ checkered knob. Bolt handle marked underneath w/ imperial eagle & crown acceptance marks. Cleaning rod & bayonet lug present; stamped solid upper band & stamped lower band; stamped trigger guard w/ milled floorplate. Cupped tight buttplate; laminated stock set w/ steel takedown hold. Buttstock marked on right side w/ eagle "H". CONDITION: stock set has worn, stained original finish w/ scattered handling marks, notable gouge in right side of forend; right recoil bolt retaining nut is not present; metal has arsenal rework type finish w/ light wear & thinning. Very good shiny bore. (20-2946/RW). 2) S# 1168L. Mfg. Waffen Werke Brunn (dot). Non matching #s throughout. Left receiver marked on left rail Mod. 98; receiver ring marked on top dot 1943 & indistinct Waffen amt. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters; inverted V front sight; turn down bolt handle; cleaning rod & bayonet lug are present; H type upper band w/ raised lip at rear for rifle w/ long hand guard. Stamped lower band; stamped trigger guard in floorplate; cupped type buttplate. Laminated stock set w/ steel takedown hold. Vintage smooth leather sling. CONDITION: stock set has original finish w/ staining, light wear & handling marks. Metal has traces of blue turning gray & patina w/ light wear & light oxidation. Very good shiny bore. (20-2976/RW).
