Winning bidder can hunt desert sheep on the San Juan & La Sal units. This is the second year this permit has been offered for auction to hunt both units. Conservation permit hunters are allowed to hunt through December 31st, 2014. Utah’s wild sheep population has increased from less than 1,500 to over 5,000 animals, in large part to the financial support of the Sheep conservation permit program.
