Enjoy mountain hunting for Alaskan/Yukon Moose with Grizzly Bear (trophy fee $5000) by horseback. This is a fully guided 1 on 1 hunt, during the prime of the Moose and Grizzly season in September 9th to 18th or 17th to 26th 2019. Moose and Grizzly in this area are abundant, population numbers are increasing, and tags are guaranteed. The hunt involves a lot of time in the saddle to cover country to find trophy Bulls with quite a bit of glassing the high country in this mountainous country.
Hunt will take place in GMU 20A in the Alaska range on the Yanert Fork drainage, east of Denali Park and south of Fairbanks. The wide river valley is gorgeous with a massive glacier at its head. Hunter will fly from Fairbanks to camp with 10 full days of hunting. This hunt will be guided out of our comfortable base camp, with the option of spiking out for several days at a time to cover even more remote country, if you desire. This area produces bull moose up to 70â€, and 8 ½ foot grizzly. Reasonable expectations on moose high 57†to 63†and 7 ft plus on bears. Hunter is responsible for $1,200 air taxi from Fairbanks to camp and return, hunting license/tags ($160 hunting license $800 moose tag $1000 grizzly tag) and expediting for trophies.
