***NOTICE*** Due to the postponement of our local fundraising events by COVID-19 where we auction a majority of our hunting tags, we encourage everyone to join us on the first of three online auctions. We thank you for your support. The funds raised are used for management, research and habitat projects. Please check with your tax advisor on the allowable tax deduction.
Proceeds from the sale of this license will be designated toward projects that directly benefit the species from which the tag originates. The license is valid in any hunt area in accordance with Commission regulations, except the following:
A WY Governor Moose license shall not be valid in any moose hunt area which has a total quota of ten (10) or less antlered, or any moose licenses. The 5-year waiting period is waived for recipients of the WY Governors moose license. In addition, preference points will not be lost by the recipients of a WY Governors moose license. The recipient of the WY Governors moose license will receive an application form, which must be returned for the issuance of the license. This form cannot be copied. There is no deadline to submit the application and license fees. However, it is recommended to allow two (2) weeks to process and return the license prior to your intended hunt. Once the license is issued, the license cannot be cancelled or transferred to another individual. The authorization for this license will expire December 31, 2020 and cannot be carried over into another year. Hunters are also required to purchase a conservation stamp prior to hunting big game in the state of Wyoming.
