Percussion belt pistol with derringer or American styling circa 1850-60s with back action lock signed “Richards” and no visible proofs. Many of this type made in Britain and imported to America shortly before the Civil War and there may be proofs beneath the barrel. Measures 8 ½” overall with a 4 ½” barrel rifled in .52-54 caliber. Dark brown uncleaned patina with some light to heavy pitting. The action works and the nippleshows a lot of firing. The stock is good to very good. Period ramrod. (Antique) Est.: $200-$400
