Starr .44 caliber Double Action Percussion revolver showing old re-nickel finish, S/N 3796. The action works well and the frame markings are crisp. Trace of cartouche on the grip. Approximately 50%-70% old flakingnickel of "Yellow" color remains with some minor pitting and erosion where finish has lifted. "G.A.R." magazines advertised nickel plating services for swords, guns and artifacts which many veterans utilized toembellish their war trophy and artifacts. A nice looking Starr.
