Winchester Model 1892 Takedown special order rifle, #18743, .38/40 cal. 24" octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, take down frame, with walnut stocks. The barrel and magazine tube show 75-85% original bluedrifting at the edges and on the magazine from taking down. The forend cap and collar show about 50% blue going to a brown patina. The frame shows 80-90% bright original blue with some micro scratches and slight losses. The hammer and lever show 60-80% toning case hardening. The stocks are very good plus with mist of the original varnish, some minor scratches and in our opinion they are 1x-2x. The original sights are retained in theirproper positions, the action is tight, the bore is bright, adn at least very good plus. An attractive early '92 manufactured in 1895.
